Portland Drink 'n Draw tonight!

Hi everybody, sorry for the short notice. I've been sick and busy all month, so I haven't planned this very well at all. We're planning a Drink n' Draw tonight (Saturday the 31st) at 7:00 at the Rose and Thistle. Not expecting too much of a turnout because of the short notice, but I'll be there for a little while at least. My cold isn't going to let me stay out too late...

Scheduling!

Whoops! I'm super late setting this schedule! Sorry!

So we'll be holding this month's Drink 'n Draw in the same place, at the Rose & Thistle at 2314 NE Broadway, at 7:00 on Saturday, February 17th.

I have once again not called ahead, so hopefully we'll be able to fit everyone again without trouble.

Bring your own supplies, but we will be providing 8.5x11 copy paper.

A good time is guaranteed* for all!

next Drink 'n Draw meeting

So I figure we ought to decide when the next Drink 'n Draw meeting will take place. I haven't talked to "2-Hog" Ryan Hill about it yet, but I'm thinking of holding it at the same place as last time on Saturday, February 17th. Would that be okay? I'll talk to "2-Hog" tomorrow and we'll make final arrangements in the next couple days.

First Portland Drink 'n Draw a success!

We held the first Portland Drink 'n Draw at the Rose and Thistle on January 20, 2007. We had about fifteen or sixteen people show, and a good time was had by all!

Here's a sort of sign-in sheet and a jam comic we produced. I hope other folks who were there will post some thoughts!

I've also started a livejournal community for the Drink 'n Draw. Join up if you'd like!

First meeting 01-20-07!

Hi all,

"2-Hog" Ryan Hill and I have figured out a good location and a time for our first Portland Drink 'n Draw!

We're going to hold it at the Rose and Thistle, at 2314 NE Broadway, at 7:00PM on Saturday, January 20th. There's a big dining room area in the back we should be able to use. They tell us they don't take reservations, but there shouldn't be a problem bringing in a group of 15-20. I'm not expecting too many more people than that.

Bring your pens and pencils and sketchbooks! We will provide 8 1/2 x 11 copy paper, but you'll have to bring anything else you want. We can swap sketchbooks and do some jam comics or something. It'll be fun!
